Cajun-Style Potato Chips

Rate this Recipe

Serves 8

Once you try one, you’ll never go back to plain chips again!

Ingredients:

4 russet potatoes, scrubbed
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon hot red pepper sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat broiler. Cover a broiler pan with foil. Spray foil with vegetable cooking spray.
  2. Cut potatoes in half lengthwise; cut each into thin, even slices.
  3. Place potato slices in a large bowl. Add garlic, oil, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and red pepper sauce. Toss to coat.
  4. Place potato slices in a single layer on prepared broiler pan. Broil, turning once, until golden and crisp, about 7 minutes. Place potato chips on serving plate and sprinkle with salt. Serve immediately.
