Simple Apple Crisp

Ingredients:
4 cups sliced sweet apples, (braeburn, gala, honeycrisp or McIntosh) |
1/2 cup flour |
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats |
3/4 cup light brown sugar |
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/3 cup butter, softened |
Ice cream, (for serving) |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease the sides and bottom of an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
- Arrange apples in pan.
- In a medium bowl, stir together flour, quick-cooking oats, brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and butter. Mix well then sprinkle over apples.
- Bake for 30 minutes. (apples should be tender when pierced with a fork and topping is golden brown)
- Serve warm with ice cream.
