Wasabi Mashed Potatoes

Serves 4 | 


Ingredients:

3 pounds russet potatoes, peeled, cut into 2-inch pieces
3/4 cup whole milk
1 tablespoon wasabi powder
1/2 stick of butter
Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Place potatoes in a large pot of cold salted water and boil about 20 minutes, until tender. Drain and return potatoes to the pot, then mash.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 3/4 cup of milk with 1 tablespoon of wasabi powder, stirring to dissolve the powder. Add the milk mixture and butter to the potatoes. Beat potatoes until fluffy and smooth using an electric mixer, then season potatoes to taste with salt and pepper.
