Deli Rotisserie Chicken Casserole

Ingredients:
1/2 lb. egg noodles, cooked
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 shallots, chopped
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
3 cups deli rotisserie chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup frozen peas
1 1/2 cups grated Gruyère cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs, Directions
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F.
Place cooked egg noodles in a 10 x 7-inch casserole dish. Whisk together 1/2 cup of the chicken broth and flour; set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet set over medium heat. Add garlic and shallots, cooking and stirring for 45 seconds. Add broth-flour mixture to pan, stirring to combine ingredients.
Add remaining chicken broth, milk, thyme, nutmeg, lemon zest, salt, pepper, deli rotisserie chicken, and peas. Pour sauce over noodles then gently mix ingredients together, smoothing out the top.
Sprinkle Gruyère and breadcrumbs on top of casserole then bake for about 8 to 10 minutes, until top is browned and casserole bubbles.
