In a large bowl, mix together the beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, egg and ½ cup tomato soup. Place mixture into a 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan, and shape mixture. Bake until the meatloaf is cooked through, about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
While meatloaf rests, place 2 tablespoons of the pan drippings, remaining tomato soup and water in a 1-quart saucepan; cook mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it is bubbling and hot. Serve soup mixture with the meatloaf.
